No TLH identity-linked query history
Tech Life Hybrid Search does not retain an identity-linked history of your search queries.
Tech Life Hybrid Search keeps provider boundaries visible so you can understand where a query goes and which privacy policy applies.
Tech Life Hybrid Search does not retain an identity-linked history of your search queries.
Normal searches go to Tech Life Hybrid Search. When an expanded source is used, its name remains visible; selecting an optional direct provider leaves Tech Life Hybrid and that provider's privacy terms apply.
Theme and domain-ranking controls are stored in this browser. Search settings are sent only when needed to apply the requested search.
TLH Independent Search does not add click-tracking redirects to result links. Public-source services used for a query retain their own privacy policies.
Saved city, topic, time format, shortcuts and automatic-update preferences stay in this browser. News is checked periodically through fixed publisher feeds. Feed-preview images load directly from the publisher’s image hosts, which receive your connection information. Generated topic artwork is labeled and served locally.
Weather uses Open-Meteo. A chosen city is sent to the Search backend for a weather request. Following device location is optional and needs browser permission. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places, kept in page memory, and sent to the weather endpoint, not to general search providers. The backend temporarily caches weather responses for five minutes. You can stop location following or choose a city instead.
Windy maps need separate permission on this browser. Allowing the map or opening a Windy link shares your IP address and selected location rounded to two decimal places with Windy. You may remember permission for automatic map loading on future visits. Hide map stops the embed and turns remembered permission off. The seven-day forecast does not require Windy permission. Radar observations and model forecasts are labeled separately; check the map's own timestamp and coverage. Third-party map and image availability is not guaranteed. Time zones come from your device unless you choose one; time-zone detection does not identify your city.
Saved story links and reading size stay in this browser. Your selected background picture is read and stored locally using browser storage; it is not uploaded to Tech Life Hybrid or sent to news or weather providers. Remove picture deletes that stored image. Clearing browser data also removes these preferences. Private browsing or unavailable storage may limit changes to the current visit. Shortcuts open the destination you select, whose privacy policy applies.
The optional independent search may request results from named public services such as Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikinews, Crossref, Open-Meteo, GDELT, OpenStreetMap, Stack Overflow, and Super User. Site shortcuts open the selected third-party site directly.
